Case: About 60 mm (2-3/8 inches) wide, this nickel case is in worn but great condition. The front and rear covers screw on and off with little effort as they should. The glass crystal is also in pristine condition!
Dial: The Arabic numeral dial appears flawless to the naked eye, with the exception of a little pit or chip in the center of the seconds sub-dial, as seen in the photos. The moon hands are fine too.
This Hampden "Special Adjusted" was made to Railroad Grade specifications back in 1896, shortly after Railroad Grade watches were regulated.
