Crafted in 1913 by the renowned E. Howard Watch Co., this “Railroad Chronometer” Series 11 Pocket Watch stands as a distinguished example of early 20th-century American precision engineering. With 21 jewels and a robust lever-set nickel movement, it was designed to meet the highest railroad timekeeping standards of the day. Housed in a sturdy gold-filled case and featuring a striking porcelain dial, this 16-size timepiece is a rare and refined addition to any serious collection.

Movement: Movement is marked "Series 11, Railroad Chronometer". It is in excellent running order and keeping reasonable time. Service history is unknown.

Case: About 50 mm (2 inches) wide, this gold-filled case has some wear, with no wear to the brass that I can see. The case seems original and is marked "E. Howard Watch Co, Boston". Brand new thicker glass crystal!

Dial: The single-sunk porcelain dial is in exceptional condition, with minor blemishes including some scratches on the sub-seconds chapter. Some rub marks are visible above the 12-hour numeral when the bezel is removed. The hands appear original and show well.

This is a great specimen of one of the finer and less common Railroad Grade watches of the era, produced by the E Howard Watch Company.
